Job Title: CAD Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling and drafting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed CAD models and generating engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.

2. Generate engineering drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing, to communicate design intent effectively.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers, to understand project requirements and develop innovative solutions.

4. Provide technical support for prototype development, including material selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.

5. Conduct design reviews to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of CAD models and prototypes.

6. Perform design modifications and updates as necessary, based on feedback from testing and evaluation.

7. Handling product data management interface, version management and documenting the release versions of drawings/products/models

8. Document and maintain accurate records of CAD models, engineering drawings, and prototype specifications.

9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD modeling and prototyping technologies, tools, and techniques.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD modeling and prototype development using SolidWorks software. Total experience to be minimum and 5 Years.

3. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, with a deep understanding of advanced modeling techniques and best practices.

4. Exposure to plastics and castings will be added advantage. Additionally candidate with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing will be preferred.

5. Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

6. Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

8. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

9. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

10. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.

11. Experience in product design and development will be a plus.

12. Knowledge of other CAD software, such as AutoCAD or CATIA, will be an advantage.
