PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible for developing and managing customer research projects to generate customer insights for multiple channels and business units.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Articulate research questions and recommend relevant data collection methods collaborating with internal teams.
- Program online survey, test it rigorously and manage fielding to ensure quality data collection using online survey platforms and external panels.
- Cleanse and manage project data files to allow historical tracking and cross-BU comparison.
- Run statistical analyses to discover key findings and transform the data patterns into meaningful insights using a variety of tools including descriptive analyses, regression, ANOVA, etc.
- Develop insightful and high-quality reports to communicate actionable research findings to internal clients.
- Manage data quality of various research projects and build/manage multiple in-house database to compile past and current research data.
- Conduct diverse data related tasks such as data acquisition, preparation, synthesis and analysis using both primary and secondary data.
- Provide support at various steps of large scale team projects including quality assurance of survey programming, data collection, comment coding and report production.
- Assist new product development research projects including questionnaire development, conjoint study programming and report creation.
- Get involved in other research efforts by providing qualitative research summaries from customer interviews and observational studies.
- Contribute to establishing Market Insights and Analytics teams best-practices and standard work.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
JOB CRITERIA:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 7+ years of marketing research project development, survey programming and reporting.
- Experiences in scoping, designing and execution of primary research projects including questionnaire writing, on-line survey programming using tools such as Qualtrics and QuestionPro, statistical analysis using statistical tools such as SPSS and reporting using PowerPoint.
- Experiences in synthesizing data into actionable information and related implications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of scoping, designing and execution of primary research projects.
- Proficiency in various primary research tools including on-line survey program and statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R).
- Knowledge of collection and analysis of complex data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge in synthesizing data into actionable information and related implications.
- Knowledge of on-line data collection/ desktop research.
- Experiences in customer satisfaction research is a plus.
Demonstrated Project Management skills to:.
- Develop realistic plans, action steps, and timetables for projects and assignments.
- Coordinate work with other groups (other depts. and agencies/contractors, peers).
- Handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Track and prioritize projects, documenting projects via an established traffic report.
- Keep others up to date with information.
- Skilled at effective communications at both technical and leadership levels.
- Skills must include good interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills, and ability to understand information and ideas as presented.
- Skill in developing and delivering effective presentations.
- Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
- Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with business partners.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances; must be able to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Much of the work will be in a normal office environment.
The ability to clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information via a computer monitor for extended periods of time during normal working hours is required.
Some assignments may require extended periods in another plant/office location.
Domestic travel approximately 5-10% of time to domestic markets.
