Ocalc Engineer | Pole Loading Enginner

Job Responsibilities:

- Conduct structural analysis and load calculations for utility poles using industry-standard software and methodologies using OCALC tool.

- Evaluate existing pole infrastructure and identify areas for improvement or reinforcement.

- Evaluate the impact of existing and proposed attachments on poles, ensuring they comply with safety standards and industry codes.

- Recommend solutions for strengthening or replacing poles as needed.

- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop pole placement plans and configurations for new installations and upgrades.

- Review project specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with applicable standards and guidelines.

- Participate in field inspections and site surveys to assess pole conditions and identify potential safety hazards.

- Prepare reports and documentation detailing pole loading analysis, recommendations, and findings.

- Stay up to date on industry standards and regulations related to pole loading.

Skills and Capabilities:

• Must Bring a Good Knowledge on Pole loading.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as PLS-CADD, O-Calc Pro, or similar tools.
• Proven experience in structural analysis and design, preferably in the utility or telecommunications industry.
• Must be able to read the field notes, Station markers & Labelling.
• Must be able to understand Longitudinal and Cross-Sectional profiles of the highways.

Experience and Education Requirement:

• Must have Pole loading tool hands on experience.
• Minimum 2+ years experience in OCALC department.
• Excellent understanding of structural mechanics and principles.
• Bachelors degree
