Job Title: General Manager - Finance
Location: Gurgaon, Haryana
Job Summary:
- The General Manager Finance will be responsible for managing the organization's financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and reporting functions.
- This role ensures the company's financial operations are conducted effectively and efficiently, in compliance with applicable regulations, and aligned with business objectives.
- The GM will lead a team of finance professionals and collaborate closely with other departments to support strategic decision-making and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and oversee financial strategies, annual budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Conduct regular financial performance reviews and variance analysis.
Accounting & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure integrity and compliance.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and funding needs.
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate credit facilities.
- Optimize cash management processes and policies.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other local requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and manage audits as required.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Financial Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Advise on investment strategies, capital structure, and financial forecasting.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support professional development.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Demonstrated track record of driving financial performance and efficiency improvements in a similar industry.
