What you need to know about the role:

A seasoned manager with understanding of the Identity domain and having experience managing small / medium teams in their previous role. You will be responsible for working with a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of a range of products on web and mobile platforms. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, excellent project execution skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Meet our team:

Identity Engineering team is responsible for providing the Identity Access Management capabilities for PayPal Inc users and partners (Includes Venmo, Xoom other products). We design, develop, enhance services that get called across every interaction between PayPal and its users and partners. Our solutions need to scale across billions of such interactions, working with petabyte plus data, integrating with various other APIs in real time and yet providing high availability and configurability to the business. To achieve this, we are always looking at advances in technology and science and tying those back to business needs.

• People management responsibilities, managing a scrum team.
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions and take end-to-end ownership of the task from development to deployment.
• Write clean and maintainable code with unit and functional test cases.
• Solve technical challenges, complex real-time issues that our customers are facing.
• Perform code reviews.
• Develop and maintain documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers in the team.

• Bachelors or master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Must have around 8+ years of experience in developing full stack scalable web , distributed software systems application.
• Strong programming fundamentals and analytical skills. Proficient in at least one programming language - preferably Java .
• Good understanding of architectural considerations such as security, performance, scalability, reliability and part of all design discussions and decisions.
• Candidate must worked with multiple interfacing teams for coordination of release timelines and scope.
• Proficient in full stack development using Java EE technologies (e. g. Java language, application servers, servlet containers,Graph QL, JMS, JPA, Spring, Spring Boot, JAX-RS, Hibernate or equivalent) and JS stack (ReactJS, NodeJS, Redux etc).
• Rapid prototyping of experimental features supported by appealing and user-centered design using Figma, Adobe XD.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS. Understanding of NoSQL and other modern database and storage technologies is desirable.
• Experience in testing frameworks, build tools and CI processes/tools.
• Strong advocate of code craftsmanship and quality deliverables.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability in working with cross-functional groups and getting results in matrix organizations.
