Senior Software Engineer- IOS

This Software Engineer role will help develop and launch key product features for PayPal Zettle & Invoicing organization. The person should be a highly motivated, versatile, individual responsible for the design, development and delivery of state-of-the-art native mobile experiences for PayPal merchants.

The PayPal Zettle and Invoicing team is responsible for developing and rolling out product and product features for micro businesses globally. Our charter is to double down and drive the next wave of growth for PayPal s micro business merchants, provide platform expansion through ubiquity, bring in increased revenue to contribute actively to our organisations mission of democratising financial services

• Design, Develop and maintain high performing product/features in iOS.
• Optimize app performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with the design and product teams to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of front-end and back-end components.
• Develop/integrate RESTful APIs to support data retrieval and manipulation.
• Reduce tech-debt
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues to ensure smooth application performance.
• Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and execution.
• Define and develop processes, tools and methodologies to achieve excellence in software development, testing and deployment, follow coding standards and guidelines with attention to performance, scalability, and availability.

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
• 5+ years of iOS development experience with solid Swift/Objective C programming skills.
• Experience in multi-threaded, asynchronous code
• Experience with animation and implementing user interface designs
• Experience in design patterns such as MVC and MVVM
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).
• Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
