Role & responsibilities
1. Planning, organizing and monitoring, various activities and processes of the section, including pre-analytical variables. Supervision of Technical Processes and Quality control of primarily Biochemistry, Immunology, Hematology, Coagulation, Cytology, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Histopathology & Molecular Biology.
2. Assigning and deploying, the human resource in order to provide timely lab diagnostic services.
3. To train, motivate, develop and guide the human resource in order to enhance effectiveness at the work place.
4. To review the slides and provide a diagnostic report to the clients.
5. Daily review of reports, managing the workload and ensuring that they meet TAT.
6. Attending to client queries and complaints pertaining to Hematology department.
7. Regular group meetings to analyze problems regarding results entry review, reversal.
8. Suggestions from team members for improvements and any other issue faced by the department.
9. Regular meetings with staff to review and plan daily/weekly/monthly activities issues.
10. Interacting with doctors for test ordering practices, providing clarification about reports, counseling patients (if required).
11. Available alternates to achieve better efficiencies in cost and technology.
12. Servicing technical queries of doctors, sales officers, and internal departments (including customer care).
13. Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for these sections on a regular basis.
14. Participating in publications, presentations, CMEs / Conferences.
15. Acknowledging team members who have done a good job in the previous months.
16. Maintain one to one contact with each member of the team to create enthusiastic and productive work environment.
17. To train, motivate, develop and guide the human resource in order to enhance effectiveness at the work place.
