1. Production planning

• Coordination with sales team on delivery order and prioritization of delivery
• Oversee the accurate projection of raw material requirement. Also ensures the smooth flow of raw material in the units to avoid any production loss due to non-availability of raw material.
• Ensure the timely release of schedule for processing at the various lines and production units
• Ensures minimal scheduling error and supports the production team by strengthening the production planning process.

2. Inventory Control and Management

• To work closely with the procurement team carrying out forecasting and inventory analysis for future purchasing decisions
• Monitor and review the minimum stock levels and usage pattern periodically
• Review the non-moving inventory items and inform the department head about same.
• Review stock reconciliation and initiate enquiry where there is a major discrepancy between system and physical stock.

3. Task Management

• Capacity Planning for production of particular Shop Floor
• To monitor the production planning according to the customer requirement
• To monitor the Raw Material availability as per planning
• To monitor monthly & weekly production planning
• To co-ordinate with stores and purchase dept. and ensure availability of raw material required to achieve dispatch plan.
• To co-ordinate with design dept. and ensure updated documents are made available for production on the shop floor
• To prepare the dispatch plan as per customer requirement.
• To release the dispatch plan to production department.
• To ensure that available production plan has been prepared by the production team in accordance with a dispatch plan
• To communicate with marketing department if any changes are made in the production plan that could affect the planned dispatch date.
• To communicate with the design department about the output of the process feasibility analysis conducted by production dept. so that changes, if required, can be made in documents to be issued to production.
• To maintain the record of the date and production order from which each change in engineering specifications is implemented in production.
• To release production orders in ERP as per plan and provide a cutting label for production.
• To ensure timely confirmation of production in ERP
• To ensure that FG stocks in BSR coincide with that in ERP system.
• To communicate to all concerned department (Production, marketing & Quality) regarding packed quantity on a daily basis
• To ensure that daily production data update on display board and also update it in soft copy.
