Manager - MEP - Resort (4-20 yrs)

An International 5 Star Resort in Koh Samui Thailand is urgently looking for an MEP Manager (preferably with Hospitality and Hotel background) who will be reporting directly to the Owner and work closely with the Project Management Team

Key responsibilities:

- It is imperative for incoming MEP person to read the design criteria, review the design based on the criteria and understand the project, design, specifications from technical, commercial and end user perspective and familiarize himself with the full scope that he has to deliver via contractor in close coordination with the design consultant, Architect, PM team and other contractors that have cross synergy with MEP

- Review the current work done by contractor and confirm if that is as per the design and spec's that were provided to Contractor in his contract document

- Review remainder work and prepare time wise for all the activities and identify those with cross synergy and also highlight those that are currently on Critical path (such as Infra structure works)

- Study if the drawings are continuously being updated and get pictures so that we can have correct as built drawings, pictures of work completed, cable routes and other key features that might be needed for any repair works

- All Plumbing work, Electrical works, Hvac works completed has to be inspected for quality, relevance and make sure that we haven't missed anything major

- Study the infra structure works for drainage, irrigation, remaining Electrical works, Fire Sprinkler works, Pool equipment's, Exterior lighting, Interior lighting ( lux levels) if need be to get it checked from a lighting consultant to ensure that our designs are adequate to the required lux levels, if there is excessive lights - suggest rationalized pruning that can be defended with our consultants

- Work closely with the PM team, Contractors on site and Design consultant and ensure that the contractor is producing the right quality of work. Also, contentiously find options that can save cost, increase efficiency and is completely relevant to our use. Suggest any changes that can improve the efficiency and save cost with proper supporting data to request reconsideration from Design consultant.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering or equivalent

- Must have worked in the same role or similar

- Willing to move to Thailand
