Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job Objective:

• Capable to analyse and design to international design codes i.e Eurocodes, British codes, and Australia,. Capable to analyse and design concrete structures, precast concrete, steel structures and steel connection.
• Engineer would produce structural analysis models / designs and shall be responsible for the technical quality of his own work and would focus on compliance with project objectives, safety and quality standards

Activities & Responsibilities:

• Analysis and design of concrete and steel structures.
• Preparation of technical Design reports / detailing inputs
• Understanding of General Arrangement, RC / shop drawings and guiding / checking technician work
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management,
• Capable of leading / handling projects independently under minimum supervision.
• Capable to analyse, assess, evaluate the issues, complexity pertaining to projects / work packages and support the team lead in mitigating them in advance.
• Competent level of baseline skills, i.e. professional and confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for career growth in all positions
• Flexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and pro-active attitude to execution / delivery.
• Should be open for short travel and deputation to other offices, where required.

Job Specifications:

• Good Knowledge of international Codes and Standards for loads and design. International codes such as Eurocodes, British codes and Australian
• Knowledge and Design experience of concrete structures and precast elements
• Knowledge and Design experience of precast concrete structures, Precast to precast connections design, precast to steel connection
• Knowledge and experience of steel structure connection design
• Knowledge and experience in checking of structural drawings for concrete, precast, precast connections.
• Capable for Seismic and Wind load calculations and analysis
• Preparation of technical Design reports / detailing inputs
• Understanding of General Arrangement, RC / shop drawings and guiding / checking technician work
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management,
• Have excellent ability to prepare design spread sheet using excel, Mathcad.
• Good Knowledge of Staad Pro, RAM connection, TEDDS software, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis, master series and other structural analysis tools
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D preferred, Trimble connect, Tekla Beamsight, Naviswork etc
• General knowledge of construction techniques and practices, construction management
