Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team at our Mundra facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and best practices, actively promoting a culture of safety across the workplace. You will work closely with management and staff to monitor, assess, and implement safety measures that contribute to a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hazard & Risk Assessment: Identify and assess workplace hazards and risks, implementing control measures to reduce them.
• Ongoing Safety Review: Continuously evaluate operations to identify new hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hazards, risks, and safety measures, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Work Area Supervision: Oversee the setup and safety of temporary work areas, ensuring all protocols are followed.
• Hazardous Materials Handling: Supervise the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Workplace Monitoring: Ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment, supervising adherence to safety standards.
• Digital Safety Transition: Implement digital safety management systems to enhance efficiency and safety.
• OSHA Compliance: Ensure all employees meet OSHA requirements and maintain safety standards.
• Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Accident Investigation: Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses, reporting findings and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar) preferred.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in a safety role, ideally within the industrial, construction, or port equipment sector.
• Experience in risk assessments, safety audits, accident investigation, and safety training is highly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and conduct site inspections.
• Must be able to lift safety equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Other Requirements:

• Male candidate preferred due to operational requirements on-site.
• Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends as required.
