Senior Process Associate: (Senior Accountant)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters preferred).
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Role & responsibilities

Accounting

• Completely independent supervision of accounting tasks of the assigned team members.
• Accounting tasks handled by the supervised team will typically include

1. Accounts Payable Processing (Including 2 Way/3 Way Matching)

2. Accounts Receivable Processing (Including Cash Application/Receipting Processes)

3. Reconciliation Activities- Bank, Escrow, Customer, Vendor

4. General Ledger Maintenance

5. Month-End Closing and Financials Reporting

6. Variance Analysis

7. Daily/Weekly/Monthly Operational or Management Reporting

Team Responsibilities

• Ensuring all processes handled by team members are done on time and accurately
• Reviewing balance sheets and income statements for the individual property to check the balances and the expense amount
• Routine work planning, division, and work status tracking within the team
• Initiate and Implement quality control measures within the team to ensure accurate processing
• Process Training of team members
• Team Management including reassignment of responsibilities (with prior approval and involvement of the Manager)

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong Accounting conceptual knowledge- should be familiar with accrual accounting concepts such as month-end provisions, revenue-expense matching
• Strong Balance Sheet knowledge including equity side accounting, capital expenditure accounting, and asset-liability matching among others
• Good experience in a wide range of transaction accounting processes such as AP, AR, reconciliations, and Record to Reporting experience.
• Minimum of Three Years Experience in US/UK/Canada Accounting in processes incolving good application of accrual accounting concepts, reporting and general ledger work.
• Excellent written communication skills particularly demonstrated ability to write well-drafted and structured emails.
• Skilled in MS Excel, Outlook and Word including VLookup, Pivot Tables, Conditional formatting tools and Macros
