Job Role: GCP Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a strong focus on SQL, a working knowledge of Python, and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Data Composer, and basic knowledge of Dataflow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and solutions for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements for data-related tasks.
• Work on GCP services like BigQuery for data storage and querying, and use Data Composer to orchestrate workflows.
• Support and maintain data pipelines using Python for automation and integration.
• Provide expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows for performance and reliability.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security in all processes and deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience

• SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, performance tuning, and complex transformations.
• Python: Intermediate knowledge, with experience in scripting and automating data processes (not as a primary developer).
• GCP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with:
• BigQuery for data storage and analysis.
• Data Composer for workflow orchestration.
• Dataflow (basic knowledge required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working in data-driven environments, including ETL/ELT processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to additional GCP services or tools for data engineering and analytics.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Ability to work in agile project environments.
