Tax Return Review Officer

Role & responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely review of the tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS) prepared by tax consultants in line with our tax preparation guidelines and Australian Tax Office rules. This includes :
  ** Client personal details and photo ID verification
  ** Income verification
  ** Substantiation documents  verification for tax deductions
  ** Medicare levy exemption review
• Reconciliation of client invoices
• Reviewing accounts receivable
• Working with clients and consultants to obtain client signatures on approved tax returns and BAS
• Preparing Financial reports
• Bank Reconciliation for BAS preparation and tax returns
• Liaise with clients and  consultants to ensure seamless tax and BAS lodgements

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum a bachelor-level qualification in commerce or Accounting with an Income tax returns preparation course
• Previous experience in tax returns / BAS preparation  or a similar financial services role is highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• A proactive problem solver with a customer-first approach
