Job Title: Zonal Manager - Logistics

The Logistics Zonal Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all logistics operations within the assigned zone. This role involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution processes to ensure seamless supply chain operations. The Zonal Manager will collaborate with cross- functional teams, lead a team of logistics professionals, and ensure that KPIs such as cost, efficiency, and service levels are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

- Plan, direct, and coordinate logistics operations within the zone.

- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

- Optimize transportation routes and warehouse processes.

- Monitor inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock levels.

2. Team Leadership:

- Recruit, train, and manage zonal logistics staff.

- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

3. Vendor and Partner Management:

- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transport vendors.

- Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service.

- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with company standards.

4. Budget and Cost Management:

- Develop and manage the zonal logistics budget.

- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.

5. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations, and safety standards.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure operational compliance.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyse logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

- Prepare and present regular reports on KPIs and operational performance.

7. Customer Service:

- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address client issues.

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient logistics solutions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Delivery performance and accuracy.

- Cost per shipment and overall logistics cost reduction.

- Warehouse utilization and inventory turnover.

- Vendor performance metrics.

- Employee productivity and retention.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business

- Administration, or related field.

- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) preferred.

2. Experience:

- 6+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

- Experience managing large-scale operations across multiple locations.

3. Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS, TMS).

- Strong communication and negotiation skills analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Work Environment:

- Ability to travel within the zone as required.

- Fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and operational targets.
