Solarwind SQL Administrator

Skill Profile:

• 5+ years of Solarwinds Orion Administration experience required.
• 3+ Years of SQL Scripting.
• Audit existing SolarWinds implementation and work for improvement in the configuration, management, and use of NPM, NTA, SAM, and WPM.
• Understanding of SolarWinds (NPM, NTA, NCM, IPAM, SAM,)
• Perform installation, configuration, customization, and training for SolarWinds products on-site and remotely with clients globally.
• Primary areas of expertise included the implementation of NPM, NTA, NCM, SAM, and IPAM to manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience in understanding on function of SolarWinds DB and able to work on customization and database handling.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Experience working with Windows servers, including Active Directory
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
• Very Good troubleshooting skills (including Windows, Network ...etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple environments.
• Create reports in the SolarWinds Orion tool.
• Engage with customers understand their needs and convert it to requirements.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
