Your Responsibilities

Activities in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activity streams as a Functional Consultant. Your responsibilities include:

Requirement Elicitation discussions with bank senior managers
Preparing Requirement specifications and functional specifications that can bridge the understanding between the business side and the technical sides and be the bridge that connects the two teams
Analyze solution approaches, estimations, best practices, project risks and recommendations
Prepare Test plans and Execute test strategy for the customizations that were delivered by the development teams
Primarily responsible for addressing the business requirement and enabling them on FLEXCUBE product and support bank with business product mapping for FLEXCUBE product suite
Provide functional support on FLEXCUBE Application and provide clarity on the system functionality
Provide training to bank Staff as and when required including post live support
Participate in meetings / discussions / parameterization sessions with Bank
Be the functional face of the organization and represent the product in customer presentations, industry events, etc
Lead product walk through sessions to customers, prospects and internal stakeholders
Be a point person for regulatory enhancements across industry, regulators and our development team
Lead implementation teams either for a full module or multiple modules depending on size of the project
Plan, manage and communicate the progress of the project, achieving project milestones and maintaining momentum of the project
Product Implementation & Support.
Help technical team to understand the business logic and guide them for issue fixing
Issue tracking and providing status update to PM or Senior Executives
Should be able to contribute independently
Lead medium to large functional team
Adherence to prescribed internal processes
Ability to be able to adapt and follow Oracle processes & compliant with Oracle Quality goals
Working with different internal stake holders
Ability to interact and communicate with client Business teams independently
Working with customers and partners for deliverables

Your Qualifications

8+ years of Good Practical Work experience in Banking/Finance domain
Experience working as a department lead or senior manager in minimum three or more departments from among Retail Lending, Trade Finance, Limits, CASA, Deposits, Risk, Treasury, MIS, Reconciliation, Branch Management, Teller operations, Bank IT department
Excellent analytical, presentation and communications skills, proven ability to translate business requirements into technology specifications
Sound knowledge in converting business requirements into technical requirements
Sound knowledge in presenting technical solution for business use cases
You should be able to demonstrate experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions either as software solutions or as re-engineering initiatives
Strong analytical and communication skills in English
Excellent documentation skills
Experience in Product Implementation and Support in any Core Banking platform.
Usage of tools for story boarding, screen mock-up, work-flow depiction.
Experience in Flexcube - retail and corporate products in similar role is a significant plus
You should be able to perform Issue Tracking on Application and follow-up for resolution of same with stakeholders
You possess good client interaction skills in areas including presentation of solutions
You should have very good knowledge of banking terminologies, concepts and processes
Utilize a mix of global resources within a matrix environment

Secondary Skills

Exposure to software development processes and practices, Testing tools
Awareness of latest technologies in Banking
Awareness of Interfaces, Batch operations, Troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered in Testing cycles
Good Team management skills

Experience

Experience of 6 to 10 years
Experience in development and / or implementation and / or support of core banking applications.

Educational and Other Qualifications

Should hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent degree

Work Environment

Should be willing to work at offshore as well as travel to client locations
Should be willing to take up FLEXCUBE certifications in functional areas as and when required.
Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging environment
Ready for on call support during off business hours on a need basis
Team player.
