Oracle Marketing Cloud is looking for a passionate and talented Principal Software engineer to join our global team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding the suite of Cloud products and enhancing integrated cross-channel marketing solutions for Fortune 500s top brands.

The ideal candidate must have passion for solving complex and interesting problems in the area of systems integrations, high volume data processing and large-scale system design. As a member of the Marketing Cloud Product Development team, you will assist in defining and designing, developing new releases of software, provide technical leadership to other software developers, and implement changes to existing software to meet changing needs.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

• Successful delivery of high-quality web software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)

• Roughly 80% hands-on coding and 20% design in DevSecOps Model

• Work with architecture group to get sign-off on submitted design and participate in design decisions

• Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code

• Resolve defects/bugs during validation, pre-production, production, and post-release patches

• Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments

• Work cross-functionally with various teams: product management, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in computer science or equivalent work experience
• 10+ year s experience developing web or other software in DevSecOps model
• Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring-boot, ETL, Hibernate, Test NG, any structured databases namely Oracle preferably or MySQL or Microsoft SQL server, python and Unstructured databases.
• Exposure to Data engineer experience of 3 + years experience is required. Familiarity with following components namely Kafka, ADW, OCI or AWS or GCP or MS Azure or any cloud technologies and any big data technologies.
• Skill to any monitoring tool namely Grafana or Prometheus etc. and CDAP is added advantage.
• Acquaintance to setting up CI/CD pipelines and deployment covering Jenkins, docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar script
• Architect and maintain enterprise-level CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support complex multi-environment an workflows. Optimize Jenkins jobs for scalability and performance, ensuring minimal downtime during build and deployment processes.
• Develop advanced Jenkins pipelines using Groovy or similar scripts for dynamic, reusable build configurations. Ensure security best practices in Jenkins pipelines, managing user roles, permissions, and secrets integration.
• Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Ansible or similar script to manage any cloud environment. Establish and enforce Terraform best practices, including modular design and state management strategies.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and management of cloud resources while optimizing cost and performance.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for deploying and managing Kubernetes applications with version control and rollback capabilities. Implement custom Helm chart templates for complex microservices architectures.
• Optimize Helm-based deployments for production environments to ensure reliability and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Kubernetes deployments by analyzing Helm configurations and logs.
• Understanding to logging infrastructure covering visualization using any tool for instance Kibana
• Exposure to B2B data model and database performance tuning aspects
• Experience designing/implementing high performance Web services using REST
• Wisdom in building atleast 2 end to end enterprise product in the past playing role of senior full stack engineer covering design, development and implementation
• A working knowledge of unit testing using Junit5 & Test-Driven Development
• Practice Agile Development/SCRUM using Jira preferably or any tool
• Enterprise Architecture exposure in designing highly scalable, performant and reliable product. TOGAF knowledge is nice to have.
• Proven experience with Jenkins, Python, Terraform or similar, and Helm Charts in production environments. Deep understanding of CI/CD principles, any cloud platforms, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Strong scripting skills and experience with infrastructure automation tools.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior DevOps engineers. Knowledge on managing Disaster recovery.
• Multiple region and multi pod deployment. Conduct code reviews on devops scripting and guide to follow the best practices
