IT Administrator

Job description:

The IT Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, managing network servers, and ensuring all systems are up-to-date and operating smoothly. They play a critical role in ensuring the IT infrastructure supports the organizations goals and user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer networks, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems and monitor network performance to ensure smooth and secure operations
2. Manage, maintain, and update all hardware, software, and servers
3. Diagnose and resolve system issues, providing technical support to staff and users as needed
4. Implement and monitor IT security measures to protect the companys data and infrastructure from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats
5. Ensure firewalls, antivirus, and other security protocols are up to date
6. Design and execute backup and disaster recovery plans, ensuring critical data is backed up and recoverable in case of system failures or data loss
7. Provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshoot issues, and offer guidance on IT tools and systems.
8. Manage and maintain company servers, ensuring uptime and availability
9. Handle user accounts, permissions, and directory structures across various platforms.
10. Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment, including computers, routers, printers, and other hardware.
11. Coordinate the repair or replacement of damaged equipment.
12. Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
13. Coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors for procurement, support, and maintenance services.
