Job Title: Pricing and Operation Executive

• Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer requirements to develop pricing strategies for sea and air freight services.
• Calculate freight rates based on shipment size, weight, destination, and mode of transport.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to determine pricing that meets revenue and profitability targets.
• Prepare and submit quotations and proposals to potential and existing customers.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, ensuring agreements are beneficial to both parties.
• Monitor and evaluate pricing performance against targets and implement adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate pricing records and documentation.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, tariffs, and market conditions that could impact pricing strategies.
• Provide insights and recommendations on pricing adjustments and market trends to senior management.
• Support the sales team with pricing information and guidance to facilitate effective client negotiations.
• Direct experience in pricing, costing, or rate analysis within the logistics sector.
• Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end freight forwarding process, including planning, organizing, and executing shipment operations (sea, air, or land).
• Ensure timely and efficient movement of goods, tracking shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare, verify, and manage necessary documentation for customs clearance, bills of lading, shipping instructions, and delivery orders.
• Serve as the point of contact between clients and the company for shipment updates, problem resolution, and general inquiries.
• Proactively address and resolve issues such as shipment delays, customs hold-ups, and damage claims.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred OR MBA OR MIB in Logistics Management
• 1+ years of work experience in pricing and operation within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
