- Oversee the entire workflow of Fund Accounting operations, ensuring effective operational management and control of daily activities within the team.
- Ensure completion and sign-off of all daily controls and processing, including client service inquiry resolution, and production of key metrics as required.
- Review daily activities in line with SOPs, client deadlines, and SLAs, while validating processing activities and managing exceptions as part of routine responsibilities.
- Plan audits and resources with internal teams, ensuring consistency across large clients and conducting ongoing analysis of client accounting records to identify potential issues.
- Lead the transformation agenda in NAV Operations, contribute to the strategic development of Fund Accounting products, and provide guidance to junior team members on technical matters.
- Communicate effectively with partner sites for external deliveries, interact with stakeholders to address accounting queries, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure all risk and control checks are adhered to, follow required checklists and SOPs, and collaborate with the OCM team on any issues needing review.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- The candidate should have 8-10 years of experience in fund accounting or financial markets, with a strong understanding of financial products, and preferably hold a CA or MBA in Finance.
- A postgraduate degree or CA with a focus on Finance/Accounting is advantageous.
- The candidate should demonstrate strong management skills and the ability to build key internal relationships across different locations.
- A solid knowledge of primary US regulations, mutual funds, and NAV is essential.
- The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple client and audit deliverables during peak times is crucial.
- The role requires implementing change, seeking efficiencies, and managing initiatives alongside daily responsibilities.
