Job Description
- New Product Development program managers are responsible for cross functional leadership of the product development process for multiple programs at any given time
- While there are many globally dispersed functional groups that own and deliver significant portions towards the development of our products, the program managers are the central logistical contact for a given product that the organization looks to for driving accountability and results
- They lead throughout the product development process: feasibility, planning, design, product validation, qualification, sampling, and ramp
- They develop and maintain detailed program schedules, identify, and address gaps, and proactively assess and mitigate risk throughout the execution
- Drive regular and special cross-functional team meetings as needed
- Work with suppliers to understand lead times and ensure timely delivery, track project expenditure and budgets, present product plans and status to executive management
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the product development process
- Occasional travel(<10%) is required, when needed according to project and business activities
