Principal Application Engineer

• As a Principal Applications Engineer you will be part of onsemi s Intelligent Sensing Group, Industrial & Commercial Sensing Division which provides imaging solutions for a broad range of applications including barcode scanners, factory automation, security, video collaboration, robotics and autonomous vehicles
• In joining our world-class CMOS image sensor development team, you will help define, document and facilitate the integration of image sensors into customers products

**Requirements**

• + A Bachelors degree in Electronic, Computer Engineering, Physics or equivalent
• + A minimum of 10 years of related work experience + Working knowledge of digital, analog and mixed-signal circuit design (e g Logic, ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, etc)
• + Working knowledge of solid state image sensors and device physics + Imaging system design or technical support experience + Knowledge of image capture, video standards, image processing and display technologies
• + Self-starter, team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• + Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• + Attention to detail and pride in development of high quality products

**Highly Desired**

• + Masters or PhD in electronics, software or imaging-related technologies
• + Experience with image quality analysis techniques and industry respected tools (eg Imatest)
• + Experience with CCD or CMOS image sensors, particularly in camera designs
•  + Experience in scripting languages (e g Python)
• + Design and/or debugging experience of embedded hardware and/or software - particularly in camera or other imaging systems
• + Knowledge of image processing and camera control algorithms
