Software QA Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with expertise in Manual and Automation Testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), and experience with functional, regression, and API testing. A strong understanding of Java, Selenium WebDriver, and testing methodologies in Agile environments is essential.

Responsibilities:

Analyze business and functional requirements to develop test scenarios.

Design, write, and execute test cases for functional, regression, and non-functional testing.

Perform browser compatibility testing, smoke testing, retesting, and database testing.

Automate test cases using Selenium WebDriver with Java and Page Object Model (POM).

Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.

Participate in Agile practices, including scrum meetings and test planning.

Prepare and maintain a traceability matrix to ensure test coverage.

Utilize repository management tools like GitHub and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.

Report and track bugs using tools like JIRA.

Technical Skills:

Automation Testing: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, BDD Cucumber, Maven.

Programming: Strong Java knowledge; basic Python skills.

API Testing: Rest Assured, Postman.

Database Testing: Proficient in MySQL and SQL queries.

Performance Testing: Familiarity with JMeter.

CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins.

Version Control: Proficiency in GitHub.

Operating Systems: Basic understanding of UNIX command
