Dot Net Support Engineer

Job Summary:

An Application Technical Support Engineer responsible for supporting, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with application deployment, SQL Server, and a basic understanding of dotnet development. They must be adapted at root cause analysis, interpreting application logs, and using common networking tools to diagnose connectivity issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Deployment & Implementation:
• Deploy and implement application releases across development, testing, and production environments.
  o Manage configuration changes and support release management processes.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  o Provide day-to-day technical support for applications, addressing incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  o Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.
• SQL Server Administration:
  o Execute basic SQL Server tasks, including writing and optimizing queries.
  o Troubleshoot database issues that affect application performance.
• Dotnet Application Support:
  o Apply basic dotnet development knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  o Collaborate with the development team to address code-level problems and enhancements.
• Networking & Log Analysis:
  o Utilize basic networking tools (ping, ssh, telnet, ftp, traceroute, etc.) to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
  o Analyze and interpret application logs to identify errors, performance bottlenecks, or misconfigurations.
• Documentation & Communication:
  o Maintain detailed documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  o Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and escalate issues when necessary.

Technical Skill:

• Application Deployment & Implementation:
  o Experience with release management and application rollout processes.
  o Ability to manage configuration changes across multiple environments.
• SQL Server:
  o Proficient in writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL queries.
  o Understanding basic database administration tasks.
• Dotnet Development:
  o Familiarity with dotnet technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core) to assist in troubleshooting and support.
  o Knowledge of React JS
  o Knowledge of Web API (Rest and SOAP)
• Networking Fundamentals:
  o Hands-on experience with basic networking tools and commands
• Log Analysis:
  o Ability to read, interpret, and analyze application logs to pinpoint issues.
• Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting:
  o Systematic approach to identifying and resolving the underlying causes of technical problems.
• Communication & Documentation:
  o Strong documentation skills to record incidents, solutions, and best practices.
