Job Description
As the Lead Test Pilot, youwill spearhead our flight testing program for cutting-edge fixed-wing UAVprototypes. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzingflight tests to evaluate performance, stability, handling characteristics, andsystem functionality. Your insights and recommendations will directly influencethe design and development of our next-generation UAVs.

- Lead and mentor a team of test pilots and flight test engineers.
- Develop and implement comprehensive flight test plans for fixed-wing UAVs.
- Conduct rigorous flight tests, collecting critical data through advanced instrumentation systems.
- Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable feedback to the design and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement solutions to troubleshoot and resolve complex flight control and sensor issues.
- Maintain meticulous flight logs, test reports, and technical documentation.
- Champion safety compliance and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and conducting flight tests for fixed-wing UAVs.
- Proven track record of success in system integration, troubleshooting, and resolving complex flight control and sensor issues.
- Strong understanding of flight test principles, methodologies, and instrumentation techniques.
- Proficiency in using flight test equipment such as data acquisition systems, telemetry systems, and flight control software.
- In-depth knowledge of UAV autopilot systems, flight control algorithms, and sensor integration.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for flight testing programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex flight data sets.
- Experience with software tools for flight data analysis (e.g., MATLAB, Python) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for drones and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of UAV technology.
- Must possess a valid UAV pilot license and be proficient in R&D and testing procedures.
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
