Storage Administrator - SAN/NAS (5-9 yrs)

Job Description :

Experience :

- Proposed L3 resources must have a minimum 5 years' experience in the respective domain such as Storage, SAN Switches with respective IBM certifications.

- Must have experience in storage, recovery, troubleshooting, performing proactive maintenance and optimizing performance.

- Must have experience in handling Brocade /Cisco SAN switches and various storages such as IBM, Dell, HP, NetApp etc.

- Must have experience with NFS, CIFS, ISCSI, UNIX, SRDF, NDMP, GPUS, DOD, and Linux software and systems.

- Experience with FC network administration is helpful.

- Good scripting knowledge in (Perl and Shell)

- Good knowledge in ITIL frame work on Incident, Problem, Change management & Service request management.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Administration and management of SAN Storages and SAN Switches

- Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth to recommend enhancements to the IT storage team.

- Should manage SAN Zoning, SAN switch configuration and its troubleshooting

- Provide the support for NAS, SAN and Unified Storage it includes Storage Health Check-up, Monitoring alerts and take preventive and reactive actions.

- Should manage storage Performance Tuning and troubleshoot as it relates to File and Block storage implementations and system operations

- Troubleshoot storage performance, connectivity issues, replication and continuous data protection issues along with providing root cause analysis and provide support to other teams during issues.

- Continuously ensure Disaster Recovery Readiness, replication functionality and conduct disaster recovery tests to validate the configuration and readiness.

- Design, implement, and deploy shared system resources

- Performance analysis and troubleshooting

- Manage storage, pools, disks, file systems, LUNs, file sets under Space management.

- Manage snapshot as well as recovery methods for storage volumes.

- Reconciliation within storage.

- Ensuring Data availability

- Storage subsystem performance tuning

- Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.

- Reporting

- Ensuring Data security

- Should have knowledge of Data recovery, Storage data migration strategies

- Should have knowledge of storage hardware architectures

- Should be managing storage-based replications

- Performing storage LUN re-mapping as per Bank's requirement.

- Should help Bank team to develops, document and maintain operational process and tasks through standard operating procedures (SOP)

- Should ensure appropriate end-user access control levels for stored data.

- Execute FC zoning for development and production, storage volumes.
