Consultant - SAP Transport Management in MM

Introduction The role of Transport Management within the SAP Materials Management (MM) module involves overseeing and optimizing the transportation processes related to material procurement and distribution. This position ensures efficient logistics operations, compliance with industry standards, and seamless integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities :

- Order Management

- Manage the order entry process for transportation services by creating transportation requirements.

- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.

- Process Documentation

- Document transport management processes and procedures.

- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities for audit purposes.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with SAP Basis and other technical teams to ensure system stability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, distribution, finance, and procurement to integrate transport management seamlessly.

Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Perform regular audits of transport processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.

- System Upgrades & Migrations

- Participate in SAP system upgrades and migrations.

- Test new functionalities related to transport management before deployment.

Support & Training

- Provide training and support to end-users and team members on transport management functionalities.

- Troubleshoot issues related to transportation processes within the SAP MM module.

- Optimization & Analysis

- Analyze shipping routes, costs, and performance metrics to optimize logistics operations.

- Implement enhancements based on data-driven insights for better efficiency.
