The Vetting Officer is required to assist with the coordination and administration of all Vetting matters within the Group HSSEQ department, supporting the Group Vetting Director BU Vetting Managers.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Promoting A Strong, Pro-Active Safety Culture Ensure the Company s Safety Culture is promoted and maintained to the highest possible standards, in all locations, through; Active engagement with all employees on HSSEQ- and Vetting related issues Participate in provide input to HSSEQ- and Vetting related meetings and inspections Actively promote the application of all Company Control of Work processes and safe working practices Implementing and promoting V.Group s Key Behaviours of Great Safety Leaders (accompanying this JD)
Vetting Support Coordinate interface between BU Cluster and Group management on Vetting issues Processing of vessel information and accurate entry of same into the office systems / External Platform (OCIMF / Q88) Provide support to the BU Cluster with the monitoring and administration of the performance management data systems and oversight (i.e. ShipSure 2 data / systems, Oil Major Dashboard, PSC performance, inspection / audit trackers etc.) Provide support to the BU Cluster with maintaining OCIMF PSC Incident repository database. Provide support to the BU Cluster and Fleet cell in updating HVPQ Q88 and review the static details in HVPQ Q88. Provide support to the BU Cluster and Fleet cell in updating vessel certificates / Photographs in OCIMF / SIRE system
Vetting Analysis Reporting of Performance Data Provide support to the BU Cluster Vetting Manager on; BU Cluster performance data is proactively analysed and utilised to inform effective, data-driven decisions to enhance performance Identify trends within local performance and implement effective measures to correct or enhance as necessary Update Monthly Vetting Bulletin PSC Statistics (including quarterly high-risk observations repeated observations) Where required, ensure data submitted to Clients is effectively collated submitted on time, to accurately reflect relevant performance criteria
Compliance Certification Support BU Cluster Vetting Manager of compliance with Vetting-related legislative, operational, client-driven, and internal standards, to ensure; Customer relations and satisfaction are continually maintained to ensure flawless service delivery timely completion of all required audits and inspections, and the retention of associated certification/licenses minimal potential legislative, operational, and administrative non-conformity Follow up closely with respective Cluster Vetting Managers on all Vetting findings actions are managed effectively closed out within agreed timeframes
Development Evolution Assist on identify opportunities for growth development of the Vetting function, to ensure capabilities and means of delivery are continually improved Where required, assist in specific projects such as; o management maintenance of Vetting-related ShipSure processes, and ShipSure BI analytics and insight o providing function-specific input to internal development projects o development and implementation of Vetting initiatives
