About the Team

The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the dynamic Finance team at Nutanix, based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This team is dedicated to providing strategic financial support across various General and Administrative (G&A) functions, including IT, legal, and facilities. The mission of the team is to enhance financial processes and analysis, enabling the organization to achieve its strategic objectives through informed decision-making.

You will report to the Senior Financial Analyst, who adopts a supportive and collaborative leadership style, actively encouraging team members to voice their ideas and provide feedback. The work setup for this role is hybrid, requiring the new hire to be present in the office as needed, although the specific number of days per week has not been defined. This flexible arrangement allows for a balance between in-person teamwork and remote productivity.

This role does not require any travel, allowing the new hire to focus solely on their responsibilities within the Finance team while contributing to broader financial analyses and budget management processes.

Your Role

• Provide financial support for G&A functions, including IT, legal, and facilities.
• Manage and lead budgeting and forecasting processes to improve financial accuracy.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting on actuals versus budgets and forecasts.
• Support strategic initiatives through ROI analysis and project modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and optimize reporting.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies to enhance budget tracking processes.
• Assist business partners in decision-making through effective communication and financial tools.
• Establish strong relationships with business leaders to promote collaboration and alignment.

What You Will Bring

• 4 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with finance and accounting tools (e. g. , NetSuite, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Workday).
• Experience in providing strategic support for G&A functions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and engage with business leaders effectively.
• Experience in financial modeling and conducting ROI analysis.
• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (preferred).

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
