Mainframe Automation Engineer - z/OS (5-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions using IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS.

- Perform migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation and vice versa.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using REXX, CLIST, and NetView PIPE programming.

- Install and configure z/OS systems.

- Perform z/OS debugging and problem analysis.

- Optimize mainframe system performance through automation.

- Implement and manage automation policies and procedures.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues.

- Collaborate with mainframe operations and development teams.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mainframe automation technologies.

Required Skills :

- 5-10 years of experience in mainframe automation.

- Deep knowledge of IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS.

- Experience in migration projects (CA OPS/MVS to IBM SA z/OS and vice versa).

- Proficiency in REXX, CLIST, and NetView PIPE programming.

- Experience in z/OS system installation and configuration.

- Strong z/OS debugging and problem analysis skills.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience with AF Operator.

- Experience with BMC Mainview AO.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in mainframe automation and system administration.

- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operations.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
