Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable
What you'll do:
- Own monthly accounts Payable close procedures, including preparation of journal entries, GL reconciliations, uploading transactions to SAP, and close presentations and ensure closure as per defined timelines.
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for month-end close and share monthly presentations with stakeholders.
- Solely responsible for performing monthly vendor reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in records and addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Supervise the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. Mentor team members on best practices and performance improvement
- Monitor cash flow requirements, prepare payment schedules, and execute payment runs as per company guidelines
- Provide documentation and explanations during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Identify areas for process optimization within accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to invoices or payments
- Reconcile intercompany balances on monthly basis.
- Ensure statutory compliances like TDS, TCS & GST within the GL domain.
- Ensure compliance with key controls and suggest process improvements to make it more robust.
- Prepare schedules to support external audit and internal team deliverables.
- Assist with special projects and adhoc requests as per requirement from various user departments.
- Monitor high-risk accounts and ensure timely escalation of challenges to management
What we're looking for:
- Min 3 years of experience working in Accounts Payable or Invoicing or R2R.
- CA/CWA is mandatory and experience in the field of B2C business model of ecommerce industry would be preferred.
- Working Knowledge of SAP, (Copa, SD, FI, PS and other relevant modules).
- Basic understanding of accounting standards, Company Law, GST & TDS laws and other related compliances.
- Ability to work well in a team across various functions and business lines.
- Good communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders well.
- Strong problem solving and creative thinking mindset.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills to devise solutions through a data drive approach.
