• The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and safety of employees within the workplace
• They collaborate with employers, employees, and other healthcare professionals to implement occupational health programs and provide medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses

Key Responsibilities:

• Health Promotion:Develop and implement health promotion programs to enhance the overall well-being of employees
• Conduct health education sessions on topics such as nutrition, stress management, and preventive healthcare
• Injury and Illness Assessment:Assess and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate care
• Medical Surveillance:Perform health assessments and medical surveillance for employees exposed to occupational hazards
• Monitor and track employee health records and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations
• Emergency Response:Provide first aid and emergency care for workplace injuries or illnesses
• Collaborate with emergency response teams to ensure a prompt and effective response to workplace emergencies
• Case Management:Manage cases of employee illness or injury, including follow-up care and coordination of return-to-work programs
• Communicate with employees, supervisors, and other relevant parties to facilitate a smooth recovery process
• Health and Safety Compliance:Stay informed about occupational health regulations and guidelines
• Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Health Screenings:Conduct health screenings and assessments for employees as required
• Provide recommendations for preventive measures based on screening results
• Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and confidential health records for employees
• Prepare reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies
