Eco Design Engineer - Thane with Legrand India

Role & responsibilities :-

• Ensure the availability of PEPs on a perimeter of known products (datacenter cabinets, copper cable & optical fiber, RJ45 mechanism, PDU, patch panel... ) according to a defined schedule. Legrand has developed a way to make PEP. You will be trained to follow this method.
• Perform LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) of products during new product development. Legrand has developed its own tool.
• Be able to estimate the carbon footprint of a product. It can be estimated with the LCA tool, or calculated by making one PEP.
• Ensure the traceability of tasks performed through regular and reasoned reporting.
• Track and record the PEP on PEP Ecopassport website.
• Help R&D teams to use Legrand tools and follow all CSR indicators on your perimeter

Qualifications, Role Specific Knowledge, and Experience

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Business, engineering, or any sustainability-related field
• Proven previous experience in environmental/sustainability projects management.
• Ability to work in international environment and on multi-office projects, cooperating with R&D team, internal specialists, Business Unit coordination functions.
• Leadership, commitment, and strong technical background, including awareness with main environmental regulatory requirements and sustainability topics.
• Provide personnel with the support and mentoring necessary to ensure the highest degree of professional performance.
• Ability to manage small to medium projects simultaneously.
• You are able to define the technical report (Excel file based on the product bill of materials provided by the R&D teams) for doing PEP.
• Use LCA Software (to calculate the environmental impacts)
• Know and use the rules PEP Ecopassport rules : Product Category Rules : PCR4 (Generics rules describing how to make a PEP) + PSR : Product specific rules
• Know how to write a PEP (Product Environmental Profile and know the rules of PEP Ecopassport (PCR, PSR,...)
• Good level with Excel to fill the requested documents (macros are not necessary).
