Production Supervisor - Plastics Manufacturing Company

Role & responsibilities

1. Production Planning:

- Coordinate daily and weekly production plans to meet delivery schedules.

- Ensure raw materials and resources are available to meet production targets.

2. RM Stock Keeping:

- Monitor and manage raw material inventory levels.

- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.

3. Production Execution:

- Oversee the execution of daily production tasks, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.

- Supervise the production team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

4. Wastage Management:

- Monitor and minimize material wastage during production.

- Implement strategies to improve waste reduction and optimize resources.

5. Quality Control (QC) Raw Materials & Production:

- Ensure the quality of raw materials (RM) is checked before production.

- Oversee the quality control of products during and after production to ensure compliance with standards.

6. QC Packaging:

- Ensure the quality of packaging meets standards and products are packaged properly for shipment.

7. Data Recording & Entry:

- Accurately document production data, including output, downtime, and quality issues.

- Ensure timely data entry into the factory management systems.

8. Production Optimization:

- Identify areas of improvement and optimize production processes to increase efficiency.

- Recommend and implement process improvements.

9. Floor Supervision:

- Supervise all aspects of factory floor operations, including staff management, task delegation, and safety.

- Ensure the production area is organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.

10. Training & Development:

- Train new staff on production processes, safety protocols, and equipment usage.

- Provide ongoing training and support to team members to improve performance.

Preferred candidate profile

- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in factory or production supervision, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.

- Proficient in data recording and entry, with attention to detail.

- Ability to troubleshoot and handle machine breakdowns.

- Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance regulations.
