Electrical Project Engineer

Job Overview:
The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing electrical projects from inception to completion. This role involves working with project teams to ensure electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to industry standards and project specifications. The Electrical Project Engineer will be a key point of contact between engineering, construction teams, and clients, ensuring timely project execution while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning: Develop and review electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and other electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and project requirements.
• Project Management: Lead and coordinate electrical projects, ensuring that milestones, budgets, and timelines are met. Track and manage project schedules, resources, and costs.
• Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to project teams during construction, addressing any issues related to electrical design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Coordination: Communicate and collaborate with other engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and alignment on objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work is completed to the highest standards, complying with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
• Testing and Commissioning: Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems to clients, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet all technical specifications.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks, including safety hazards, budget overruns, and technical challenges.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, reports, and manuals.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements for systems, processes, and practices to enhance the efficiency and quality of electrical projects.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Project Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in electrical design and project management, preferably in [specific industry such as construction, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure].
• Proven track record in delivering electrical projects on time and within budget.
• Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and building systems.
• Proficiency with electrical design software AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP,
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certifications is a plus.
