Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality animations for characters, environments, and other game assets using Spine software.
- Work closely with game designers, developers, and other artists to ensure smooth implementation of animations into the game engine.
- Ensure animations are optimized for performance and maintain quality standards across different platforms.
- Build flexible rigs and skins for characters and other assets to accommodate a wide range of motions and interactions.
- Incorporate feedback from directors and team members to improve animations and ensure they meet artistic and technical requirements.
- Ensure that animations are consistent with the overall art style and direction of the game.
- Identify and troubleshoot animation issues within the game engine and ensure smooth playback across various platforms.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience working in the gaming industry, preferably in 2D animation.
- Proficiency in Spine: Expertise in using Spine 2D animation software for game development.
- Strong Understanding of Animation Principles: Excellent grasp of motion, timing, weight, and posing to create fluid and engaging animations.
- Knowledge of Game Engines: Familiarity with Unity or other game engines, and how to implement Spine animations into the game.
- Artistic Skills: Strong drawing and artistic abilities, with a good understanding of character design, anatomy, and movement.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot animation issues and optimize assets for performance.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments in the studio.
