Job Description
Position Description:
The Software Engineer position is responsible for building, developing, testing, and deploying service-oriented or microservice-style cloud-based applications using Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Java/J2EE applications using Spring Boot in accordance with Fords design and development standards, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Maintain and enhance existing applications.
- Ensure code quality meets all Fords code quality objectives.
- Perform unit testing using JUnit and integration testing as required.
- Conduct code refactoring and peer code reviews.
- Expedite all issues raised during System Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Track and ensure timely compliance of all release deliverables.
- Participate in business meetings and requirements gathering as needed.
- Design code and implement solutions based on gathered requirements.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and discussions, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Prioritization Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
- Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from development to deployment.
Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: BE, MCA, MSc.
- Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in Java.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in building service-oriented / microservice-style and cloud-based solutions using Java (1.8+), Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in object-oriented development and Java Enterprise.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Java.
- Experience in developing microservice-style and cloud-based solutions using Java (1.8+), Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and Java Enterprise development.
Skills Preferred:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in Java development.
