Applications Support/System Manager (7-12 yrs)

Job Purpose :

The purpose of the role is to ensure overall end to end management of applications in production environment including development, uptime & downtime management, corrections, reporting by managing risk, security, compliance and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity, availability, safety and integrity of the applications.

Project Planning, Delivery , Go Live and Governance :

Supporting Actions :

- Involved in planning towards designing of application BAU and directing various teams including partner resources to develop, maintain and monitor these applications

- Involve in business discussions with stakeholders at operational levels so as to help businesses appropriately - both from process and technical approach. This forms the basis of the effective BAU support towards applications management

- Perform continuous and periodic reviews with team and partners towards managing and functioning of these applications - at least one update per application per week

- Implementations of projects consisting of multiple changes involving different application development and support teams

Application Support :

- Design and formulate the blue print of application management processes and metrics of the applications

- Design, selection and implementation of tools towards measuring application performance and mechanisms to measure the control metrics

- Direct teams to implement processes aligned with ITIL standards of incident, change and problem management

- Directing towards formation of an appropriate IT application support model so as to meet with the complex demands of growing business plans and increased feature set of individual applications

Partner Management :

- Implement and direct towards creation of successful vendor relationship so as to develop the processes towards BAU meting the business needs and standards

- Continuous review, evaluation and feedback with partners in order to have a win-win situation- 1 meeting per month

- Perform review so as to optimize processes at BAU and help direct towards resolution of conflicting scenarios

Application Risk and Audit Management :

- Develop and implement procedures and processes for risk quantifications and arrive upon risk categories

- Review and monitor all processes towards keeping the risk indicators under acceptable levels

- Implement necessary corrective actions towards strengthening application integrations and recommendations basis audit and review

Stakeholder Management :

- Implement and direct towards creation of successful stakeholder relationship for meeting the business demands and needs

- Continuous review, evaluation and feedback with stakeholders in order to have a win-win situation

- Perform review so as to optimize processes at IT and help direct towards resolution of business expectations

BAU Automation :

- Regularly review and update with trends of technologies in industry / competition towards BAU and application management

- Represent in internal IT and technology meetings with recommendations towards strengthening our implementations basis the analysis of industry benchmarking

- Implement and manage a quality assurance processes through implementing steps towards code review, test automation, defect measurement and IT application release management

Application Dashboard and Reporting :

- Develop and implement appropriate application monitoring dashboards providing the details of overall health of applications - to include defect density of applications, standard defect TAT and outlines

- Review the application reporting with respective stakeholders and arrive upon corrective actions towards resolution
