Job Description : Informix 4GL Developer

Experience : 3 8 years

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Informix 4GL Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications using Informix 4GL and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Informix 4GL.

- Design and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and triggers in IBM Informix.

- Work closely with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and implement solutions.

- Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and performance.

- Optimize existing applications for better performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration with other systems and databases.

- Ensure best practices in coding, security, and database management.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3- 8 years of experience in Informix 4GL development.

- Strong understanding of IBM Informix database management system.

- Experience in SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database optimization.

- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.

- Knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with modern programming languages (Java, Python, etc.)

- Exposure to cloud-based databases or migration projects.

- Understanding of ERP/Enterprise applications using Informix.
