Principal Network Orchestration Architect

The NME team is seeking a Senior Network Orchestration Architect to join our professional services team as we continue to deliver consulting, design, deployment and integration expertise in cross-domain network orchestration solutions. The selected candidate would work in a hybrid space where the fundamentals of networking technology and operation meet to deliver NetOps as an integral part of our orchestration solutions.

This role requires cross-domain knowledge, and the selected candidate would be expected to be familiar with some of the following:

• Experience in managing complex projects
• Strong knowledge ofDatacenter networking technology
• Strong knowledge IP Networking, Routing, Services Topology: IPv4 and IPv6, BGP, LDP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VPRN, IP VPN, QoS, Security
• Hands-on experience with container management, operators and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with one of more of the following: Ansible playbooks, Terraform, Pulumi
• Software development experience: Python, JavaScript, Data Modelling languages such as JSON, XML and YAML
• Work experience with Network Management & REST API concepts
• Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Experience in leading and influencing individuals and groups to achieve business outcomes
• Excellent time management
• Excellent organizational skills: bringing order to chaos, sorting things out, staying on top of delivery plan
• Multi-vendor cloud platform knowledge would be considered an asset

This is a customer-facing consulting and design role and 10+ years of relevant experience is a requirement.

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

Routing certifications such asNokia Network Routing Specialist (NRS II) Certification, CCNA or equivalent P

SDN certifications: Nuage Networks Expert (NNE) DC / SD-WAN or equivalent would be an asset

This role is customer-facing professional services role and spans planning, scheduling, consulting, design, delivery, integration and proof-of-concept trials. Primary responsibilities in this role will include:

• Lead workshops to understand the end-to-end solution architecture and its position within the customer's automation context.
• Planning the project delivery phases
• Scheduling and designation of project tasks to team members
• Document, present and deliver relevant design collateral
• Validate SDN and IP network end-to-end packet flows in Domain Specific Languages such as Tosca
• Design, deliver and integrate software artefacts as part of the Network Domain Orchestration solution
• Engage/supervise in staging, integration, network deployment and acceptance testing phases of customer projects
• Deployand configure automation use cases on cloud environments using OpenShift, k8s, public cloud
• Supervising the execution of each phase of the project
• Communicating with all stakeholders
• Collaborating with project leads and cross business units to achieve the project outcomes.
