About the Role

NIET is hiring for various positions at Dean and HOD level for various departments in the School of Computer Science and Engineering in Emerging Technologies. He/she will provide strategic leadership and vision for the department, fostering an environment of excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. This role is pivotal in positioning the department as a leading center for emerging technologies, driving advancements in the field and preparing students for successful careers in the digital age.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the CSE department, aligning with the institution's overall goals and vision.
• Academic Excellence: Oversee the curriculum development and delivery, ensuring it is aligned with industry trends and incorporates emerging technologies.
• Faculty Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a world-class faculty with expertise in emerging technologies. Foster a culture of research and innovation.
• Administrative responsibilities: Taking care of all departmental administrative responsibilities
• Research and Innovation: Encourage and support faculty and students in conducting cutting-edge research in emerging technology areas such as AI, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, and IoT.
• Industry Partnerships: Build strong relationships with industry partners to establish collaborative research projects, internships, and job placements for students.
• Resource Management: Effectively manage departmental resources, including budget, facilities, and equipment.
• Student Success: Foster a supportive learning environment that empowers students to achieve their academic and professional goals.
• External Engagement: Represent the department at industry conferences, academic forums, and community events to enhance the institution's reputation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience in academia, with a proven track record of leadership in a CSE department.
• Deep knowledge of emerging technologies and their applications.
• Strong research and publication record in relevant fields.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate faculty, staff, and students.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of accreditation standards and processes.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
• Familiarity with online and blended learning modalities.
