What does your day to day work look like
We are in search of a colleague who will be supporting the Market Intelligence Manager and Group Strategy and M&A team by providing in-depth market analysis, macroeconomic tracking, competitive intelligence, peer benchmarking, and background research on interesting M&A targets, i.e. company profiling.
Your Primary Task Involves:
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Monitor and analyze competitors activities and strategies.
M&A research: Identify potential M&A targets and prepare company profile incl. financial matrix and key performance indicators
Strategic Insights: Develop and deliver strategic insights and recommendations.
Data Management: Maintain and update market intelligence databases, file management and SharePoint. These mainly include EHV manufacturing database, Cable Laying Vessel database, EHV cable demand and award news, M&A target database
Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to gather information.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and improve research methodologies. Support continuous improvement of NKT market intelligence process and toolset.
Ad-Hoc tasks: Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as required to support Group Strategy and M&A team in strategic initiatives.
What we look for
3-5 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or a related field
Experience in analyzing market trends, conducting research, and providing strategic insights.
Technical proficiency: Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite products. Proficiency in using market intelligence tools, databases, and software for data analysis and processing.
Analytical skills and communication skills.
Research Proficiency: can do primary and secondary research well.
Data processing: Experience with data mining, effective use of search engines, and using AI to expand search scope and quality
Interpersonal skills to work efficiently with team members as this is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work in a time-sensitive situation and to meeting deadlines.
Additional experience in the following industry sectors: Energy (systems), Power Transmission, Renewables, Power Cable, Offshore Installation, Market Research are welcomed.
