Year of passout - 2022 / 2023 / 2024

If you are selected, you will be directed to sign an agreement of training cum service to work in our concern for four years for fresher in our field.

Position Overview:

As a Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of protection systems within the given infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, test, implement, and maintain protective relays and systems that safeguard electrical equipment and ensure operational safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of protection schemes for electrical systems.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of protective relays and associated equipment.
• Analyze system performance and conduct fault studies to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve protection-related issues.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.
• Stay updated with industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in protection engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in protection engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, substation, equipments, protection devices, and relays.
• Proficiency in using software tools related to protection engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with protection relay settings and logic configurations.
• Experience with protective relay testing in various manufacturers.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC).
• Knowledge of relevant software (Omicron Test Universe, PCM600, DIGSI, S1 Agile, Easergy studio).
• Knowledge of Scheme checking Panel Functional check.
• Retrofitting of Relays and Panels.
• Knowledge about Line Distance and Differential Protection, Transformer Differential, REF Protection, Feeder Protection, Busbar Protection, Capacitor Protection, Motor Protection and Generator Protection.
• Handling Secondary Injection Testing Kits Omicron CMC 356, Megger, OCC Testing in Omicron kit.
• Product Knowledge on GE, Schneider, Siemens, Hitachi, SEL, ZIV make relays.
