Role & responsibilities

The Project Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales of lighting solutions for projects, including commercial, industrial, residential, and public sector developments. The role involves identifying and managing potential clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and ensuring the successful implementation of lighting projects. This position requires a deep understanding of the lighting industry, market trends, and project management, combined with strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development:
    • Identify new project opportunities and potential clients within the lighting industry (e.g., contractors, architects, designers, consultants, and developers).
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and business growth for lighting projects.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations for lighting products and solutions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
    • Track market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  2. Project Management:
    • Coordinate with project teams, including engineers and designers, to develop customized lighting solutions that meet client requirements.
    • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial inquiry through to project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
    • Negotiate terms, close deals, and manage contracts with clients.
    • Provide technical and commercial support to clients throughout the project execution process.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all clients involved in lighting projects.
    • Resolve any issues or concerns related to product quality, installation, or after-sales service.
    • Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Maintain and expand long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
  4. Sales Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress in CRM systems.
    • Provide regular updates to management on sales performance, pipeline, and project status.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on sales metrics, forecasting, and industry trends.
  5. Market Research & Product Knowledge:
    • Stay updated on the latest lighting technologies, products, and industry standards.
    • Monitor market conditions, customer needs, and competitor offerings to adjust sales strategies as necessary.
    • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and expand professional networks.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferably with a focus on lighting, electrical, or architecture).

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in sales or project management within the lighting industry or related sectors (e.g., electrical, construction).
  • Strong knowledge of lighting products, technologies, and applications (indoor, outdoor, architectural, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as required.
  • Previous experience in managing large-scale lighting projects.
  • Strong network within the lighting, architecture, or construction industry.
