Job Overview:
We seek an experienced and highly skilled EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) Architect to join our HSR Layout, Bangalore team. As an EKS Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and highly available. You will work closely with development, operations, and cloud infrastructure teams to optimize and automate containerised application deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure EKS clusters on AWS.
Architect and manage Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications.
Automate the deployment of Kubernetes clusters using CI/CD pipelines.
Implement and maintain best practices for security, monitoring, and logging within the EKS environment.
Work with cloud engineers to ensure integration with other AWS services such as RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and EKS environments.
Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for Kubernetes clusters.
Provide guidance on optimizing infrastructure costs and improving system performance.
Lead cloud migration initiatives to AWS using EKS and containerized solutions.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in Kubernetes, EKS, and cloud technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, with a focus on AWS services, especially EKS and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and containerization technologies.
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ECR, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline for automating deployments.
Experience in managing and scaling containerized applications in a cloud environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
Expertise in monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, or ELK stack.
Knowledge of networking concepts in a cloud-native environment, including service discovery, load balancing, and ingress controllers.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Strong troubleshooting skills, with a solid understanding of logging, monitoring, and performance tuning in Kubernetes environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of service meshes like Istio or Linkerd.
Familiarity with container security tools (e.g., Aqua, Twistlock, or Falco).
