Job Description

Nielsen Sports is seeking a highly analytical and driven Product Analyst to join our team. We are looking for someone passionate about understanding user behavior and uncovering actionable insights that drive product improvements for our cutting-edge data platform. In this role, you will be the voice of the user, leveraging data to inform product strategy and roadmap prioritization. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to support a best-in-class user experience.

About the Role:

As a Product Analyst focused on user engagement with our data platform, you will:
Analyze user behavior: Dive deep into user interaction data, including platform usage, feature adoption, navigation patterns, and error logs, to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and monitor key metrics: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user engagement, satisfaction, and platform performance. Create dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings effectively.
Understand user research: Collaborate with UX researchers and Product Managers to understand user needs and motivations. Translate qualitative insights into quantitative data analysis and product recommendations.
Identify opportunities for improvement: Proactively identify areas where the data platform can be improved to enhance user experience, increase efficiency, and drive adoption.
Prioritize product roadmap: Use data-driven insights to influence product strategy and roadmap prioritization. Work closely with product managers to provide data for user cases and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure product decisions are informed by data and user insights.
Communicate findings effectively: Clearly and concisely communicate complex data analysis and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations, reports, and data visualizations.
Stay up-to-date: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and user experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e. g. , statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field).
2+ years of experience in a product analyst role, preferably with a focus on user engagement and data platforms.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e. g. , Google Tag Manager, Looker, Heap).
Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
Experience working with Sports data and a keen understanding of the global sports industry preferred
Support GTM strategy leveraging current functionality trends and insights
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Passion for understanding user behavior and creating exceptional user experiences.
Experience with other data platforms in the sports industry and related technologies is a plus.
