Job Title: Cybersecurity Director / Senior Security Architect
Location: India (Ahmedabad, Mumbai or Chennai)
Department: Office of the CTO
Reports To: CISO/Head of IT Security
Job Summary:
- We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Director with significant Senior Security Architect experience to help spearhead our organization's security initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience specifically managing Security Operations Centers (SOC) and/or Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) (with overall 15+ years experience), and will be responsible for designing and executing a robust security program to safeguard critical organizational assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive security execution plan that aligns with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, and ISO 27001.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Manage, coach, and mentor a high-performing security team, ensuring efficient SOC/MSSP operations and fostering professional growth.
- Incident Detection and Response: Oversee the deployment and management of security tools (e.g., SIEM solutions) for real-time threat detection and incident response, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Outsourced SOC Management: Oversee the relationship and performance of the outsourced Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring service levels are met and security goals are aligned with the organization's overall objectives.
- Incident Coordination: Lead and coordinate incident response activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks quickly and effectively.
- Comprehensive Security Coverage: Ensure that security tools and technologies provide complete, accurate coverage across the organization's attack surface, minimizing potential risks.
- Risk and Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps and design mitigation strategies.
- Policy Development and Compliance: Create and enforce security policies and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, particularly in highly regulated industries like healthcare and finance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, compliance, and other business units to align security initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Continuous Security Improvement: Stay current with emerging threats and technologies to proactively enhance the organization's security architecture.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity Manager or Senior Security Architect role, with a focus on managing SOC or MSSP environments.
- Experience in healthcare and/or finance sectors is highly valued.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, HITRUST, ISO 27001), and proficiency in tools like SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
- Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex security information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- Other relevant certifications in cybersecurity.
