The candidate will be involved in enhancements of the product engineering activities as per specified in requirements and quality standards.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Design and develop Fitting, Cord Grips, cable glands, electrical controls and enclosures such as motor starters, panel boards, and contactors for industrial and hazardous locations; optimizing our designs to create better solutions for our customers
Own the full product development process including concept, product specifications, design, supplier specifications, product validation, and production launch
Support Project Lead from inception to launch, coordinating the activities. Review and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
Collaborate with product management in translating voice of customer research into impactful features for product designs
Identify and apply innovative technology focused on improving our product capabilities and creatively incorporate groundbreaking smart technologies into our next generation of products
Use our global lab facilities testing capabilities to validate product designs against requirements.
Work with our external partners to define and produce new components and materials; delivering world-class solutions.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years experience leading engineering design projects
Previous experience working with molded or cast components for electrical panels, enclosures
Demonstrated ability to lead new products to production/launch
Experience with rapid prototyping technologies,
Validation Testing based on agency standards UL, CSA, IEC
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Solid understanding of hazardous and commercial/industrial electrical products
Hands-on experience with electrical controls and power distribution and monitoring
Proficient in computer-aided design and simulation software application boundary condition understanding
Familiarity with technologies related to connected products and devices
Hands-on in Creo (3D modeling, drafting, assembly, Sheet metal, Cabling)
Hands-on in AutoCAD (Drawing, Layers settings, Sketching, Dimensioning and Annotations)
Preparation of complete drawing packages including details, assemblies, diagrams, and BOM structures.
Working knowledge of PDM/PLM tools
Proficiency in use Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
