Job Summary: As the IT Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire IT infrastructure and operations within the organization. This includes managing a team of IT professionals, developing IT strategies, ensuring system reliability, and driving technological innovation to meet business needs. You will work closely with senior leadership to align IT objectives with overall organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and manage the IT department, including system administrators, developers, network engineers, and other technical staff.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT team.
Ensure the team has the necessary tools, resources, and skills to support the organizations IT needs.
IT Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the organizations business goals and objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business requirements and determine how IT can best support these needs.
Develop and execute long-term plans for IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, network, and security solutions.
System & Network Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organizations IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud solutions.
Ensure that all IT systems, applications, and services are functioning optimally and securely.
Manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
Lead the organizations cybersecurity initiatives to protect company data and intellectual property from internal and external threats.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and internal security protocols.
Manage disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning to safeguard critical IT systems and data.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of IT resources.
Optimize IT spending and look for opportunities to improve IT operations, reduce costs, and implement scalable solutions.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including software/hardware suppliers and managed service providers (MSPs).
Evaluate and negotiate contracts for IT products, services, and infrastructure.
IT Governance & Compliance:
Ensure that IT systems comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including industry standards and security policies.
Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain operational excellence and ensure system integrity.
Innovation & Technology Advancements:
Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT and advise senior management on technological opportunities.
Drive innovation and technology adoption that can improve efficiency, performance, and competitive advantage.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide senior-level support and troubleshooting for complex IT issues and ensure IT services are delivered efficiently to all staff.
Oversee IT helpdesk and support operations to ensure timely resolution of user issues and requests.
